Orlando Museum of Art

Over the years I have taught every age group from 5 years old to almost 70.

Every week is an adventure for students to become fully immersed in an artistic genre.

Together we make connections of famous art to the real world, and learn the impact art has on our daily lives.

Students exploring the hallmark artists of Pop Art creating their own renditions.

Using mixed media students create amazing works inspired by cultural cuisines.

From trash to treasure. Students learn the art of repurposing various materials to create fine art.

Students gathering to create a unique tag mural from handmade stencils.

Diving deep into the world of Steam and Cyber punk students love to show off their top hats, clocks, pottery and more.

Art Shows and Clubs

Every my students would participate in competitive local art shows such as the Maitland and Winter Park Art Festival.

After hours, I sponsored over 3 diverse students led clubs including S.M.I.L.E.S., Pottery Club and Creative Minds.

This was a great opportunity for students to learn valuable leadership, communication and teamwork skills.

Our clubs would teach students team building skills, organization and management.

Maitland Art Festival

My students often times took multiple ribbons in the states most competitive shows for their work.

Winter Park Art Festival

Students would compete in "Top Talent" shows and win for their unique work and technical skills.

I organized the first school art show at Olympia High School.

k-12 Education

Every year would consist of a rigorous unit focused curriculum.

Students would often produce written evidence and documented research on their subjects.

In class we practiced group critiques and how to discuss the design process.

Some of my top alumni are now studying at schools such as:

Chicago Art Institute,M.I.C.A. & Rollins College.

Project: Cultural Masks. Every year included units of culture and diversity to teach students about the history and origins of the art.

Students had intricate projects involving the study and recreating of architecture and iconic buildings.

Often times students were inspired by artists of their culture.

I would push students to constantly take risks and experiment with new materials.

Art was a great way to help students make connections to their heritage.

Students would often use social issues and current life problems as subject matter.

I taught the importance of thinking outside the box, urging students to think of artist styles, and how to stretch the limits.
